Welcome to the first citizen-inspired foundation in the State of California dedicated to the support of its local fire district and emergency medical service.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Rescue 1 Foundation is to receive and administer donations in order to enhance public safety by providing advanced medical and safety equipment, supplies and educational services for the Moraga-Orinda Fire District.  To learn more about the Rescue 1 Foundation, please visit our website at www.rescue1foundation.org.

The Rescue 1 Foundation has purchased over $585,000 in supplies, training, and equipment thanks to community donations.  Such equipment includes the Aeroclave Ambulance Decontamination Fogger, Stryker Gurney, DJI Inspire 2 Drone,  Kubota RTV X1100, and Stokes Litter Tie-In System.

The Rescue 1 Foundation is a 501(c)(3) corporation, and all contributions are fully tax-deductible. Donations may be made in the form of gifts of appreciation, memorials or annual contributions.
