Moraga-Orinda Fire District, CA
Home MenuSubmitting Plans
All construction and fire system plans MUST be submitted electronically along with a Plan Review application. The application must be completed in its entirety. Incomplete plan review applications or plans submitted without a complete application will be rejected and not processed.
Note: The plan review turnaround is approximately 6 weeks. If you have any questions, please contact Fire Prevention staff at (925) 258-4599, ext. 7.
Instructions for Electronic Plan Submittal
- Complete the Application for Plan Review (save a copy of the PDF form to your computer so when you fill it out it will save the data).
- One application is required for per submittal and re-submittal. Plans will be rejected without the Plan Review application.
- Combine the Plan Review Application with the plans you wish to submit as a single PDF and upload it by clicking on Submit Plans button below. Any additional information such as calculation sheets, cut sheets, etc. should be uploaded with the application and plans as a single PDF document. This will ensure your submittal packet will stay together and documents will not get lost.
- Once your Plan Review submittal packet is received and processed, an invoice will be e-mailed to you. Invoices can be paid with a credit card or by check. Payment must be received prior to the release of final review comments and approved plans.
- Once plans are approved, they will be electronically stamped. Stamped e-plans, final review comments, and permit card, if needed, will be emailed to the Applicant listed on the application.
- If an inspection is required, the Applicant/Contractor is required to print a set of the electronically-stamped plans, Hydraulic Calculations (if applicable), Specifications (if applicable) and permit card and have them on site for the inspection. You must provide these plans to the fire inspector at the time of the inspection as a permit cannot be signed off without them.
Please see the District Fee Schedule for the schedule of fees.
