All Fire Code Operation Permit plans MUST be submitted electronically. The turnaround is approximately 7-10 days.
Instructions for Submitting Applications:
- Complete the Fire Code Operational Permit (save a copy of the PDF form to your computer so when you fill it out it will save the data).
- Combine the Fire Code Operational Permit Application with the plans you wish to submit as a single PDF and upload it by clicking on Submit Plans button below. Any additional information such as site maps, and other detailed information for the operation to show compliance with the Fire Code, etc. should be uploaded with the application and plans as a single PDF document. This will ensure your submittal packet will stay together and documents will not get lost.
- Once your Fire Code Operational Permit submittal packet is received and processed, an invoice will be e-mailed to you. Invoices can be paid with a credit card or by check. Payment must be received prior to the release of final review comments and approved plans.
- Once plans are approved, final review comments, and Operational permit card will be emailed to the Applicant listed on the application.
- If an inspection is required, the Applicant/Contractor is required to print a set of the plans, and permit card and have them on site for the inspection. You must provide these plans to the fire inspector at the time of the inspection as a permit cannot be signed off without them.
