The District Board of Directors is charged with providing strategic leadership, policy and direction, and fiscal oversight. Directors are elected to a four-year term and represent a specific district with elections held every two years on the even years.
Regular Meetings of the Moraga-Orinda Fire District Board of Directors are held on the third Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. - with closed session beginning at 6 p.m. and open session beginning at 7 p.m. The location of the meeting is listed on each agenda, as it may vary. Board Election Procedures
The District’s Board of Directors is charged with providing strategic leadership, policy and direction, and fiscal oversight. The Board of Directors meet once a month, and past agendas and meeting calendars can be found on the Board and Agendas webpage. MOFD Directors are elected to a four-year term and represent a specific district with elections held every two years on the even years. MOFD is comprised of 5 Districts total. Please review the District Maps below to determine your district of residence.
The Country Costa County Elections Division, Country Clerk, administers candidate filing for county, school, and special district offices. Specific information on how to Run for Office and a comprehensive Candidates Guide will provide details on filing requirements, qualifications, deadlines, fees, and more. Candidates must complete a Candidate Application Packet during the candidate filing period. The filing period is only 25 days, starting 113 days before the election and ending 88 days before the election.
