NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Directors of the Moraga-Orinda Fire District will hold a first reading on Ordinance 22-03, an ordinance of the Moraga-Orinda Fire District of Contra Costa County, California, Designating the Local Responsibility Areas (LRA) previously designated as Wildland Urban Interface โ Fire Area as LRA Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zones at its regular meeting on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. held via webinar/teleconference (only) in accordance with AB 361.
Local Responsibility Area (LRA) Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zone (VHFHSZ) means a geographical area identified by the Moraga-Orinda Fire Protection District in accordance with Government Code sections 51179 to be at significant risk from wildfires. Pursuant to Public Resources Code Sections 4201 through 4204 and Government Code Sections 51175 through 51189, and based on the findings in Section 2 of the Ordinance and the substantial evidence supporting those findings, those areas identified by CAL FIRE as High Fire Hazard Severity Zones on FRAP map fhszl06_1 map are hereby designated as a LRA Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zone.
