Regular Meetings of the Moraga-Orinda Fire District Board of Directors are held on the third Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. - with closed session beginning at 6 p.m. and open session beginning at 7 p.m.  The location of the meeting is listed on each agenda, as it may vary. 

When the day for a regular meeting of the District Board falls on a legal holiday, the District Board, at the preceding meeting, shall determine the time and date of any rescheduled meeting.  Various other Special meetings are scheduled throughout the year to address time-sensitive District issues.  Meetings take place in person and via Zoom videoconference.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Directors of the Moraga-Orinda Fire District will hold a public hearing and first reading of Ordinance 22-02, an Ordinance of the Moraga-Orinda Fire District of Contra Costa County, California, Adopting Requirements for Fuel Breaks on Undeveloped Parcels and certain low density large developed parcels, and Findings of Fact Establishing Additional Requirements in the State Responsibility Areas and Local Responsibility Areas at its regular meeting on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. held via webinar/teleconference (only) in accordance with AB 361.  The California Fire Code is contained in Title 24 of the California Code of Regulations and falls under the California Building Standards Code. As such, it is appropriately limited to building standards.  Ordinance 22-02, is intended to establish requirements for fuel breaks on unimproved parcels and certain improved parcels greater than 10 acres within the Fire District outside of the Fire Code and its triennial update cycle.
